Wow!!! What an ending to an unbelievable year. State was amazing.
Boys took 5th (1 point shy of 4th)
Girls took 8th
Notable performances:
Boys -
Zach as always came in and ran at his best. He took 6th in the 100M, 4th in the 400M, and 3rd in the 200M. He also anchored our 2nd place 4X400 relay team. Great year and a lot of hard work coming to a great end.
Greg was a huge high point coiming in 3rd in the Javelin with a season best throw of 169.
TJ performed well again with a 7th place finish in both of the 100M and 200M. He also anchored our 4th place 4X100 team and was part of our 2nd place 4X400 team
Josh Hawkes took 5th in the High Jump clearing 6'01"
Cubby and Parker both ran season bests in the 1600 and 3200. Parkers 3200 was a huge PR.
Thomas took 8th in the disc
Ben took 8th in the shot
Lil ben took 9th and 9th in both hurdles
Girls:
Rosalie ran an amazing 110H to win the state championship with a time of 15.36 and took 5th in the 400. She also anchored our school record breaking 4X400 team
Karen was also amazing in all her events. She took 1st in the disc with an amazing throw of 130' and took 5th in the shot and 7th in the Javelin.
Diondra and Kiana ran amazing times in their 800M. Both 4 sec PR's
Lexi ran great in the 300H and ran a great leg in the 4X400 (SR)
Ana and Bailey were also huge parts of the 4X400 (SR)
As I said we had some huge numbers put up. Some of the fastest and farthest we have had in a long time. It was a great weekend and a lot of fun.
Congrats to the 2010 BHS Track & Field team. Great year!

Region Championships!!!
Wow!!! What an amazing couple of days...
Our Boys won the region championships in dominating fashion scoring an unprecedented 200.5 points. Amazing performances all around.
Our Girls took third place and proved to be a vrey strong opponent no one saw coming.
Notables:
Zach doubled in the 400 and 400 and anchored the 4x400 winning relay team. He also took 2nd in the 100.
TJ won the 100 and took 2nd in the 200 and 400 and was also on the 4x400 relay.
Little Ben proved size does not matter in the hurdles winning the 300 and taking 2nd in the 110H
Uncle Jens took 4th in the 400 and earned a spot for state. He was also on the 4x400 relay.
Evan, Karl, Carson, and Cubby rallied the Medley with a big time come from behind win in a sprint to the finish by Cubby. It was insane..
We were one throw away from taking 3 Javelin throwers to state. All PR'd by 15-20 feet. Amazing. Sked took 2nd with a throw of 164, Karl took fourth with a throw of 148 and Evan took 5th with a throw of 146. All were insane performances.
Sked also will be going to state in the high jump with a 4th place finish. Joining him will be Josh who took 3rd.
Josh also took 5th in the long jump.
Big Ben won the shot by an inch with a throw of 46'01"
Cubby and Parker went 2,3 in the two mile and 3,4 in the mile. I have no idea how they run those races.
Big Tommy pr'd by 17 feet in the disc to take 3rd overall and earn a spot to state.
On the girls side it was a great outing and a dominating one in most cases.
Rosie doubled in the 100H and the 400(dominant) and place high in the Hurdles.
Karen killed the discuss and took 2nd in the Shot and Jav. Disc and Jav were PR's
Diondra and Kiana battled to the end in the 800 right to the line and went 1,2. It was insane.
Lexi took 3rd in the 400 and 4th in the 300H. Both will send her to state.
I am sure there were so many other amazing performances that I cannot think of right now, but I will. Pictures will be coming soon. This week is state and we are hoping for the same kind of dominance. It should be fun and exciting.
